Sketchbook: Oculus


Oculus is the new WTC transportation hub designed by Santiago Calatrava with shops just opened recently in August. One World Trade building can be seen through the wedge of skylight, which opens only once a year.

Learning about trees and appreciating the oxygen and shade they provide.

Species: London Plane (Platanus x acerifolia)
Height: 95.94 Feet
Trunk Diameter: 62 Inches
Average Canopy Spread: 54 Feet
